Summary: Its been five years since the death of Spud and things have found a new normal in the Faywild. The story opens with Orem training his lasted group of Sword mage students. Lily Solesorrow and Sapote delight the spectators with their displays. Orem tells his students they are almost ready to graduate and start taking on students of their own as to better help protect Faywild.
While Lily is displaying some of her other skills with the sword Orem is attacked by a group holding strange rods and dressed in red jump suits.
