Hello Internet Medal of Honor
The Hello Internet Medal of Honor is a prestigious decoration awarded to Tims who have "gone above and beyond the call of duty for the betterment of Hello Internet" [1].
History[edit | edit source]
The seeds were first planted during a Things people do while listening to the Hello Internet podcast corner in Episode 44.
In that episode a Tim named Chris wrote in and provided evidence that they drove the stairs to Air Force 1.
The first discussion of creating a decoration was in Episode 51, around 1:17:22, when Chris sent a picture demonstrating that the Hello Internet Logo had infiltrated the White House.
They were minted in Episode 94, and the inaugural medal was awarded to Chris, the Tim who started it all.
Recipients[edit | edit source]
- Chris, the former Air Force 1 handler who sent in a picture of the HI Logo in the white house
- The father of a girlfriend of a Tim, for recording Roger Federer's answer to the Tennis Ball Color Question[2]
- The Tim who sent a tiny nail and gear into space.
Disclaimers[edit | edit source]
One should not stand on one foot atop the Burj Khalifa doing a base jump with a Hello Internet Flag attempting to gain a medal of honor.
The medals are awarded for whimsy and good feeling, not an escalating hierarchy of spectacle, nor something that should be sought.
