Brand Malaysia with Peter Pek is the only radio branding talk show in Malaysia. Hosted by Peter Pek, the brand strategist, writer, columnist, editor, publisher, designer, creative director, public speaker, corporate celebrity branding guru, radio and television personality, the show airs through Radio24.[1] Broadcasting on the 93.9 FM frequency, Radio24 is the only 24-hour news and talk radio station in Malaysia.[2] The station broadcasts domestic, regional and world news through hourly news bulletins, half-hourly news highlights and breaking news as and when they happen through live coverages and cross-overs. The station also has an array of talk shows. It also airs at frequent intervals, traffic, weather and stock market reports. The station also provides live audio streaming through its website.

Broadcast[edit | edit source]

The 45-minute show broadcasts every Tuesday at 7.15pm and is repeated every Wednesday at 12.15am, Friday at 6.15am (previous episode) and Saturday at 6.15pm. The show premièred on New Year's Day in 2008. The show can also be heard via audio streaming through Radio24's website.

Podcasst[edit | edit source]

The show began podcasting episodes through the show's website at www.brandmalaysia.fm in March 2008, making Peter Pek the first Malaysian CEO to podcast. The show is also the first Malaysian radio program to podcast, and the first to be listed in iTunes.

Subject Matter and Format[edit | edit source]

Every week, two guests are invited to appear on the show. One guest usually represents a brand and the other is someone from the branding or related industry. The show is divided into five segments and each guest is given about half the time in each segment to speak. The format of the show represents an interview style, in which the host, Peter Pek, asks his guests questions related to their brand or business.

The show looks at and discusses all aspects of branding, from brand equity to brand extension, brand protection from trademarks to the latest trends employed in the branding and marketing industries.
