The name was derived from a conversation between Richard's wife during the weeks leading up to the start of the [[podcast]]<ref>Revealed in Episode 52 Broniversary</ref>. During the conversation Richard mentioned that he wanted to incorporate [[Bromance]] in the title of the podcast. This led to the creation of the name Language of Bromance. Other titles originally suggested "Fight the Yeti", "Bromance in Space" and "Viral Audio".

Language of Bromance has released a new episode every Sunday since June 21, 2014.
