Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This template can be used to illustrate a user's contributions to an article over time by showing the changes in classification according to the quality scale.

Usage Edit

Basic usage is {{user article progress|article|current classification}} followed by the previous classifications in ascending order.

The values for classification are those accepted by the {{class/icon}} template.

Examples:

{{user article progress|Wikipedia|GA}} may be used to imply this user is working on the Wikipedia article which is currently a good article:

{{user article progress|Wikipedia|GA|B}} used to show this user helped Wikipedia go from B to GA status:

Wikipedia · [B-Class article-]

{{user article progress|Wikipedia|DGA|C|B|GA|}} implies this user helped Wikipedia grow from C to GA status, but then it lost GA status:

Delisted good article Wikipedia · [C-Class article-B-Class article--Delisted good article]

Add |started=y to visualize that you created the article, as with {{user article progress|Wikipedia|GA|Start|C|B|started=y}}

Wikipedia · [Start-Class article→ C-Class article-B-Class article-]

{{user article progress|Wikipedia|FA|Stub|Start|C|B|GA|A|started=y}} implies this user started the Wikipedia article as a stub, then helped it grow to featured article status:

Featured article Wikipedia · [Stub-Class article→ Start-Class article-C-Class article-B-Class article--Featured article]

Note this template does not enforce any structure of order of classifications, nor does it output any intermediate classifications. For example, if you said the article went from class C to GA, only those two icons will be printed. You must specify the intermediate B classification manually.

Use the |style= parameter to add custom CSS styles, or |nostyle=y to remove the default monospace, bold styling.
